Proposals

Mansergh-Stuessy Fund

2018 proposals are due November 15, 2017 to manserghg@gmail.com. Confirmation of receipt will be provided.


Proposals must be coordinated through each college's director of foundation relations, with a maximum of three submissions per campus. Budgets within the range of $2000-4000 are appropriate, and college matching funds are strongly encouraged. Travel, food, equipment, and political or religious advocacy-related costs

will not be funded.


A 10-page narrative proposal (additional pages for budget and appendices accepted) will be evaluated by the fund advisory

board based on the following sections/criteria:


Narrative (limit 10pp)

1. Background and Prior Activities (20%) 

2. Purpose and Innovation of the Proposal (25%)

3. Activity Plan and Timeline (30%)

4. Activity Monitoring/Adjustment Plan (10%)

5. Relevant Staff Experience (10%)

6. Post-grant Plans/Planning (5%)


Appendices (no limit)

A. Budget (required, not scored)

B. Timeline for Activity Plan (if space needed)

C. Staff CVs/Resumes

D. Other


Applicants will be notified of award decisions by December 15, 2017. Full funding from The Saint Paul Foundation will be received in January 2018. Brief (5-page) mid- and end-of-year reports are required. A mid-year site visit is requested.
